Girl Talk Gives Real Talk for Real Teens in Gastonia (4/10/2008)
Girl Talk Foundation Inc. Executive Director Janine Davis visited Gastonia, North Carolina to hold a forum on Real Talk for Real Teens. The event, hosted by The Gaston County Health Department and the AIDS Council of Gaston County, gave young girls the chance to talk about how they handle relationships and other key areas in their life.


Girl Talk Honored at Jack and Jill Jazzin’ Event (2/2008) 
The Charlotte chapter of Jack and Jill of America honored Girl Talk Foundation, Inc. at their recent Jazzin’ Event.  Girl Talk was one of three non-profit organizations to receive a grant and award from the organization. Three teens at the summitGirl Talk Hosts Teen Summit on Girls In Gangs (2/2008)
Girl Talk Foundation, Inc. hosted a series of teen summits that focused on ‘Girls In Gangs’ and ‘Teen Violence.’ More than 200 girls and boys participated in open dialogue about the causes and solutions to gang violence.

The Charlotte Observer's Eye Magazine voted Executive Director and Founder of Girl Talk Foundation, Inc. Janine Davis as “One To Watch In 2008.”


Girl Talk Founder Receives Prestigious Pride Award (1/2007) 

Pride Magazine presented Executive Director and Founder of Girl Talk Foundation, Inc Janine Davis the prestigious Youth Empowerment Award.
