Should High School Start Later So Teens Get More Sleep?

Sleep deprivation has become such a serious issue that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention declared inefficient sleep to be a public health epidemic. Accidents, industrial disasters, and occupational errors often result when sleep deprived people struggle to function normally. Sleep deprivation isn’t just a problem for adults, however. Many children and teens are also not getting adequate amounts of sleep. And doctors are saying that school start times may be a big part of the problem for adolescents.
